Grouping rooms into Room Types allows for different tariffs for each room type.
Book-by-bed lodges only have one room type.

Room Types have a min and max occupancy. This is used to control the occupancy levels that can be set in Tariff Sets for rooms of this room type. However you must set the min and max people for each individual room as well. The max and min for a Room should be within the limits set by the Room Type, otherwise tariffs won’t be calculated correctly.
N.B. a Room might be a single bunk. For example you have a physical room with 4 bunks, but you want people to be able to book individual bunks without booking the whole room. So you define four Rooms each having min and max 1 occupant, with names e.g. Bunk Room bunk 1, Bunk Room bunk2 etc. If your bunk tariffs are the same per person as your larger room tariffs then you may not need different Room Types for bunks and multi-bed Rooms. If the Room Types are the same, then you only fill in one tariff in your Tariff Sets, i.e. the Room Type appears in the Tariff Set as a field where you enter the per-night cost.
