Queuing Bookings

When bookings open, to control load on the server, a queue might be visible to members.

This is automatic if you set a Member Opening Date in a Season Period (but only if there is no Priority Period date above it).

When does this operate? Starting one hour before the Opening date/time, and lasting not less than 15 minutes after, the queuing system operates.

What do members see? Depending on load, members may see a countdown timer. When it reaches zero, the Booking Matrix will display.

Is the system fair? A member gets their place in the queue based on when they first request the Booking Matrix. Requests made before bookings open are ignored.

Do you need to warn members? We think not, because the display is self-explanatory, but it never hurts.

Tips:
If you have short seasons within a longer season, make sure all seasons share the same opening date/time, unless you don’t want this.
